Gale Returns to Brahmas in 2010-11

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (August 26)- The Texas Brahmas of the Central Hockey League (CHL) announced the return of second year forward and twelfth signing, A.J. Gale, for the 2010-11 campaign Thursday afternoon. In his first professional season, Gale led all Brahmas rookies in scoring and ranked eighth in the league with 25 points (15 G, 10 A) in 58 games. When the post season approached the quick winger was ready collecting three points (1 G, 2 A) in seven games.

The Lantzville, BC native, played at the collegiate level at St. Norbert College (NCAA-Div III) and posted 30 points (19 G, 11 A) in 19 games. His goal per game average had him leading the Green Knights in scoring for the 2008-09 campaign. Gale, a 5-foot-11 and 185 pound winger, was named on the NCAA Division III All-American team his senior year by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA).

Brahmas Head Coach Dan Wildfong looks forward to the impact Gale could bring in his second year with Texas.

"It is great to have a player like A.J. return; a young player who knows our system. We look forward to what he will bring to the ice this season," said Wildfong.

The Brahmas open the 2010-11 year on the road but will host their home opener Friday, October 22. On Friday October 10, the Brahmas will host the Allen Americans for a little preseason action with all tickets to the 7:30 PM game just $10.
