Reno Aces News Release

OKLAHOMA CITY- Doug Deeds led off the game with a home run to dead center, but the RedHawks would come back, beating Reno 15-1 in the series finale Friday night at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark.

Deeds' home run-his 11th of the season and second in as many nights-gave Reno a short-lived 1-0 lead. Oklahoma City would fight back with a six-hit, four-run fourth inning against Aces starter Bryan Augenstein (5-8). The RedHawks extended their lead with three more in the sixth, and put the game out of reach with eight more in the eighth.

Augenstein was tagged with the loss in his first start since returning to the Aces after a stint with Double-A Mobile. The big righty allowed four earned runs and eight hits in four innings of work.

Brandon McCarthy (3-0) tossed five innings of one-run ball to earn the win for Oklahoma City.

Deeds finished 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored, while Ed Rogers chipped in with two doubles. Mark Hallberg reached base twice for Reno, which failed to record a hit with runners in scoring position for the second time in three nights.

The Aces return home Saturday night to open a four-game set with the Tacoma Rainiers. Reno LHP Zach Kroenke (5-3, 3.97 ERA) will take the ball against Tacoma RHP Michael Pineda (3-2, 3.67 ERA). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. from Aces Ballpark, and is both KNPB Family Night and Hot Dogs in Paradise Night, with the Aces wearing island-themed jerseys which will be auctioned off after the game, with the proceeds going to the Reno Aces Foundation.

Tickets for all Aces games start at just $7, and are available by calling the Reno Aces box office at (775) 334-7000 or by visiting RenoAces.com. The brand-new Freight House District, located just outside Aces Ballpark, is open seven days a week, on both game days and non-game days.
