Colorado Eagles News Release

WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles announced today that they have re-signed forwards Steve Haddon and Adam Hogg for the 2010-11 season. The two have been linemates since Hogg came to Colorado prior to the 2008-09 season; Haddon has been with the team since the spring of 2006. Haddon is coming off a career year, while Hogg was on pace for one as well before battling injuries.

Haddon has spent the past four seasons with the Eagles since joining them as an amateur for the 2006 playoffs. The 6-foot, 191-pound forward has registered increasing statistics each season in addition to showing great durability (missing just one game over the past three seasons). Last year he put up career highs in points (47), goals (21), assists (26), plus/minus (+13) and game-winning goals (4) while cracking the Top-10 on the team's all-time points list (9th with 136).

Haddon cracked the Top-10 -- and set several of those new highs -- during a stretch in early February when he was temporarily inserted onto the team's top line and responded by embarking on a seven-game point streak (also a new career high).

Hogg came to Colorado as the player-to-be-named in a 2008 trade of Paul Esdale. He showed a knack for clutch scoring as a rookie with Corpus Christi (registering four shorthanded goals and three game-winners), and has improved with additional playing time every year since.

Last season, the 5-foot-11-inch, 195-pound forward set a career high in assists (12) and plus/minus (+8) while falling five goals short of his previous high despite missing a third of the season due to two stints on the IR. His shooting percentage (.167) was tops on the team and also a career high.

The two signings brings the number of players under contract with the team for the upcoming season to nine (listed below).

The puck drops on the 2010-11 season on Saturday, Oct. 9 when the Eagles take on the Odessa Jackalopes in a preseason game at the Budweiser Events Center; the regular season begins on Friday, Oct. 15. Tickets for all Eagles home games will go on sale Saturday, Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased by visiting the BEC Box Office, calling 1-877-544-TIXX (8499) or online at www.ComcastTix.com.
