Lumberjacks Announce 2010-2011 USHL Schedule

The Muskegon Lumberjacks announce their 2010-2011 USHL schedule. The Lumberjacks kick off the season at home on October 2 when they host the Indiana Ice at the LC Walker Arena.

There will be 30 home games during the regular season. Of those games, 10 are Friday games, 15 are Saturday dates, 3 on Sundays, and 2 are Wednesday games. Game times are 7:15 pm Monday-Saturday and 5:15 on Sunday.

One of the biggest weekends of the year will be Friday, January 14-Sunday, January 16 when the Lumberjacks make a three game home stand including back-to-back games on Saturday and Sunday against the defending Clark Cup champion Green Bay Gamblers.

The Lumberjacks will play in the Eastern Conference of the USHL. The seven other Eastern Conference teams are the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, Chicago Steel, Green Bay Gamblers, Indiana Ice, Team USA, Waterloo Black Hawks, and Youngstown Phantoms. The Western Conference consists of the Des Moines Buccaneers, Dubuque Fighting Saints, Fargo Force, Lincoln Stars, Omaha Lancers, Sioux City Musketeers, Sioux Falls Stampede, and Tri-City Storm.

At the conclusion of the 480-game regular season USHL schedule, the top six teams in each Conference will qualify for the Clark Cup Playoffs. The first and second place teams in both the Eastern and Western Conferences will earn a first-round playoff bye as the remaining four teams in each Conference will play for the two remaining spots in the second round. The winner of each playoff race in their respective conferences will meet in a best-of-five final series for the Clark Cup.
