Heroes Night to Benefit Fisher House

July 26, 2010 - Major League Lacrosse (MLL) Denver Outlaws

DENVER -The Denver Outlaws lacrosse team will host a special Heroes Night and U.S. Bank Fan Fair event on July 31 at INVESCO Field at Mile High. Starting at 4pm, Sports Legends Mall on the south side of the stadium will transform into the ultimate tailgate party with interactive games, an autograph session with players & dance team members, beer garden, and chance to win prizes from the team. U.S. Bank Fan Fair day is free and will run until 6pm, prior to the Outlaws vs. Boston Cannons professional lacrosse game facing off at 7pm.

Heroes Night will commence inside the stadium, prior to the game, with the swearing in of future ARMY Soldiers on the field with Outlaws goalie and former ARMY All-American and current Ft. Carson Soldier Adam Fullerton leading the ceremony. Outlaws players will wear special camouflage jerseys for the game. There will be an online auction the week following the game on DenverOutlaws.com to purchase the commemorative jerseys. All proceeds raised from the jersey auction will be donated to Fisher House.

"Denver Fisher House is thrilled that the Denver Outlaws have chosen to recognize the Fisher House during their "Heroes Night." We so appreciate the support of the team and the community in our mission to help military families in times of medical crisis. Lacrosse is such an exciting match up of athleticism and tactical expertise. "Heroes Night" should be a tremendous evening of great sports, family fun and patriotism," said Melanie Starkman, Member, Friends of the Fisher House Board of Directors.

The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless will also be collecting school supply items from fans outside of the stadium prior to the game. Fans are encouraged to bring school supply items to gate 10 before entering INVESCO Field. Backpacks and supplies will be distributed to 200 school-aged children during the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless' "Back to School Health Fair," where homeless children will receive the required immunizations, vision, hearing and dental screenings for school.

U.S. Bank Fan Fair is free to attend and tickets to the Outlaws vs. Boston Cannons game are available and start at just eight dollars by calling 303-OUTLAWS or online at Ticketmaster.com.
