BAKERSFIELD Calif.-The Bakersfield Condors, host of the 2010-11 ECHL All-Star Classic, are planning out their promotional schedule for the 2010-11 All-Star campaign, with five dates on the books already.

Opening Night is slated for Saturday, Oct. 16 against the Las Vegas Wranglers. The Condors will commemorate the first division title in team history from this past season, by raising a Pacific Division Championship banner at Rabobank Arena. In addition, fans will get a Pacific Division Champion Flag, measuring 3' x 5', a replica of the one that will rise to the rafters that night.

On Friday, Oct. 29 against the Stockton Thunder, everyone will get a Condors Magnet Schedule - a must-have for fans to put up on the refrigerator at home, at work, attach to your iron meteorite collection, or anywhere else with a magnetic surface so that knowledge of the next Condors game is never hard to find.

The next night, Saturday, Oct. 30, just in time for Halloween, the Condors will help fans celebrate the Twilight series with a theme night honoring the vampire/werewolf book and movie series. Log on to www.BakersfieldCondors.com and send us a Mailbag submission to help decide what the night will involve. Should we do a vampire fang giveaway? Have the stands divided into Team Edward vs. Team Jacob? Hold a Edward & Jacob look alike contest? Do a garlic necklace giveaway?? Stay tuned for more information.

Two annual events that always bring in big crowds have also been planned. The Field Trip Day/Businessperson's Special Game is Wednesday, Nov. 17 against the Victoria Salmon Kings. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. and the puck drops at 10:30 a.m. As usual, expect plenty of school kids, educational-themed promotions, and food specials. It's a great day for students to learn out of the classroom, and the perfect power lunch event for those who have to work that day. Teachers or principals wanting to have your school take part should contact Brad Urbani [mailto:bradu@bakersfieldcondors.com]at 324-PUCK (7825).

Teddy Bear Toss, as usual, falls on the Saturday following Thanksgiving, Nov. 27 against the Utah Grizzlies. Anybody who has attended Teddy Bear Toss Night in Condorstown will tell you to believe the hype; the Condors and their fans have broken the team record for stuffed animals in successive seasons. In November, 2009, over 8,000 teddy bears rained down onto the ice, with a near-capacity crowd outdoing themselves once again. Over 60,000 stuffed animals have been collected in the 12 years of this event.

Now is the time to reserve your seat to all the action. Three of these five games - Opening Night, Twilight Night and Teddy Bear Toss - are included in the Pick 6 Plan, a package consisting of tickets to six different games. The perfect choice for Condors fans on the go that might only be able to attend a handful of games per season. Pick 6 Plans start at just $42.

Group outings are also available for 20 or more people, with a slew of benefits including special rates on tickets, special prizes, having your group announced at the game and more. Contact the Condors office at 324-PUCK (7825) for more information. The Condors are also currently booking game dates for the Budweiser 5-Hole Suite and VIP Suite.
