Janesville Jets Announce 2010-11 Regular Season NAHL Schedule

The following information has been officially announced by the North American Hockey League (NAHL) and the Janesville Jets organization.

The 27 home Janesville Jets hockey games played at the Janesville Ice Skating Arena (821 Beloit Avenue) are listed on the attached sheetwith specific start times provided.

Of special note regarding the Jets 2010-11 home schedule:

The Jets home opener, as part of a home and away series versus one ofsix new NAHL teams, the Chicago Hitmen, will occur on Friday night September 10th with a 7:30 PM start.

All Friday night Jets home games at the Janesville Ice Skating Arena will start at 7:30 PM this year with all Saturday home games starting at 7 PM and all Sunday home games starting at 2 PM.

The Jets will have a home game the night before Thanksgiving, on Wednesday November 24, 2010 starting at 7 PM.

There will betwo Thursday night games this season on January 6, 2011, to kick off a three-game series versus the Motor City Metal Jackets and onFebruary February 17, 2011 to start a three-game series versus the Michigan Warriors.

The Jets will begin selling discounted season tickets, special 10game voucher "Jet Packs" and game-specific group tickets starting on Monday July 12th. Interested parties can call the Jets BoxOffice at(608) 752-JETS (5387) for more information or to place an order. The normal box office hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday9 AM - Noon. With the addition of six new teams to the league there has been divisional realignment. The Jets are still in the North Division, but will now be part of an eight team division as opposed to five last year:

The Janesville Jets will play 4 games in the annual NAHL Showcase in Blaine, Minnesota, on September 15 - 18, 2010. Combined with the 27 home games in Janesville and the 27 away games played at opponents' rinks, the Jets will play a total of 58 regular season games. The Jets last 2010-2011 regular season game will be on the road versus the Michigan Warriors on March 27, 2011. Playoffs start up in April 2011.

NAHL releases 2010-11 regular-season schedule

The North American Hockey League (NAHL) has announced the release of its regular-season schedule for the 2010-11 season.

Each of the 26 teams in the league's four divisions - the Central, North, South and West - will play 58 games.

The eighth annual NAHL Showcase Tournament will be held from September 15-18, 2010 at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, Minn., where all 26 teams will play four regular-season games.

Celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2010-11, the NAHL, the only USA Hockey-sanctioned Tier II Junior A league boasting 26 teams from across North America, prides itself on the social maturity and skill development of student-athletes ages 16-20 with aspirations of advancing to collegiate and/or professional hockey.
