
Snakes Release Revised Schedule

Columbus Cottonmouths News Release
The Columbus Cottonmouths have made some revisions to their previously released 2010-11 game schedule. All home dates remain the same, but changes were made to opponents and road dates. An updated schedule is listed below. The Snakes will face seven SPHL teams including new in-state rival Augusta, Fayetteville, Huntsville, Knoxville, Louisiana, Mississippi and Pensacola during their 56-game season.
The Cottonmouths kick off their 15th season at home against the Pensacola Ice Flyers Friday, Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m. Their first road test will come the following night when they head to Mississippi to face the Surge on Saturday, Oct. 23.
The Snakes' 28-game home schedule features one Monday, one Tuesday, four Thursdays, eight Fridays, 11 Saturdays and three Sundays. In 2011, 15 of 16 home dates are on weekends. All Monday-Saturday games are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. and Sunday games will be at 4 p.m. Game dates and times are subject to change and will be announced as soon as possible.
Columbus will play two home games in October, five in November, five in December, seven in January, three in February and six in March. The Snakes will play at home on Thanksgiving, New Years Eve, New Years Day and MLK Day, but will be off Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
The Cottonmouths will face the defending SPHL-champion Huntsville Havoc six times in the regular season, while they face the Pensacola Ice Flyers seven times, the Fayetteville FireAntz, Louisiana Ice Gators and Mississippi Surge eight times, the Augusta River Hawks nine times and the Knoxville Ice Bears 10 times.
