Flying Tigers Return Home Tomorrow for All-American Red, White & the Blues

July 3, 2010 - Florida State League (FSL) Lakeland Flying Tigers

Lakeland, FL - The Lakeland Flying Tigers return home for a six-game homestand beginning Sunday, July 4 at Joker Marchant Stadium. Lakeland will host the Dunedin Blue Jays July 4-6 and the Clearwater Threshers July 7-9. Tickets for all home games are available by calling the Flying Tigers at (863) 686-8075. Box seats are $6 and reserved seats are $5 and seniors 55 and over and children 14 and under receive a $1.00 discount. Saturday and July 4 the tickets are an additional $1. Wednesday All-You-Can-Eat tickets are $10. Parking is FREE.

All-American Red, White & The Blues July 4th Celebration

Backyard BBQ Festival from 12:00-5:00 p.m. benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lakeland & Mulberry. Entertainment from the International Locals from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Admission to the BBQ, parking and entertainment are FREE. Samples of the BBQ and drinks will be for sale and part of the proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs.

Flying Tigers will be wearing their special Patriotic jerseys when they take on the Dunedin Blue Jays at 5:00 p.m.

Following the game will be a tribute performance by The Blues Brothers, Aretha and Cab Calloway. The Jake and Elwood Blues Brothers Revue is sanctioned by the John Belushi Estate. They have performed with the original Blues Brothers

Band and have performed in stadiums and arenas all over the country including NASCAR's Daytona 500.

The dueling fireworks spectacular will begin at approximately 9:15 p.m. There will be two amazing fireworks displays skyrocketing at the same time choreographed to patriotic music. The shows are sponsored by The City of Lakeland, Lakeland Electric, The Ledger and Hall Communications and will be displayed by Bell's Fireworks Display Company.

Monday, July 5 vs. Dunedin Blue Jays @ 1:00 p.m. (Gates open at noon)

Special holiday weekend 1:00 p.m. start time. Monday is $1 hot dog day. Fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs all game long. Also, check The Ledger for a special two-for-one ticket offer.

Tuesday, July 6 vs. Dunedin Blue Jays @ 7:00 p.m. (Gates open at 6:00 p.m.)

Baseball Wingo Sponsored by Natalie's Sports Bar & Grill

Fans can play Baseball Bingo during the game for a chance to wings from Natalie's Sports Bar & Grill and prizes from the Flying Tigers.

Silver Sluggers

KRAFT Singles Tuesday Tickets. Fans receive a special buy one, get one free ticket offer by bringing a KRAFT Singles package wrapper to the ticket office.

All-You-Can-Eat-Night

Wednesday is All-You-Can-Eat Night sponsored by Little Caesars and Mimi's Cafe. Tickets are just $10 and includes admission to the game and all-you-can-eat Little Caesars pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, sausages, cracker jacks, popcorn, pretzels and chips as well as food from Mimi's Cafe from 6:00-9:00 p.m. or while supplies last.

Thursday, July 8 vs. Clearwater Threshers @ 7:00 p.m. (Gates open at 6:00 p.m.)

Thirsty Thursday

Fans can enjoy $1 beer and soda every Thursday home game.

Flying Tiger Bandana Giveaway

The first 500 paid adults ages 15 and over will receive a Flying Tiger bandana.

Bat for the Cure Night - Prostate Awareness Night

Bat for the Cure is an organization whose main purpose is to increase the public's awareness of prostate awareness and to educate people about cutting edge techniques in treatment, prevention and detection. Bat for the Cure will be distributing information to fans throughout the game. There will also be public service announcements throughout the game and Flying Tiger players will be wearing blue wristbands.
