Levine Receives Award Of Excellence

The ECHL announced on Wednesday that Eric Levine is the 2009-2010 recipient of the Award of Excellence for Media Relations as determined in voting by members of the media, league media relations directors, and broadcasters.

"This is a great honor for Eric. The Elmira Jackals are proud to have an award-winning media relations director on their team," Jackals general manager Robbie S. Nichols said.

Levine recently completed his first season as Director of Broadcasting/Sales Executive for the Jackals. The University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate broadcast hockey for three seasons for 91.7 WSUM-FM as well as the 2009 NCAA Women's Frozen Four in Boston for Clear Channel Madison. He was the recipient of the student award for "Best Sports Play-By-Play" from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association in 2009 and during his tenure as the sports director for WSUM-FM, Levine established a dedicated online sports web stream.
