Jaxx Robles Again Named Southern League Pitcher of the Week
June 7, 2010 - Southern League (SL) Jackson Generals
For the second time in less than a month, Mauricio Robles has outshined all the other pitchers in the league. Robles was Pitcher of the Week for the week of May 3-10. With fourteen strike outs in 11.2 innings, and a win in both games he threw, Robles has dominated. When Robles struck out nine batters May 31st, his team took home their third straight victory. After pitching a few more innings one week later, the Diamond Jaxx were on an eight-game streak. The lefty pitcher was signed by the Detroit Tigers in 2006 and joined the Mariners organization in 2009. He was born in Valencia, Venezuela.
