Goal In OT Puts Monarchs In 0-2 Playoff Hole - Union Leader
While one Giant Center dressing room was nothing short of jubilant, just a few feet down the hall the other team had no choice but to absorb a painful blow and move forward. That said, what's a little controversy among American Hockey League playmates? Especially come playoff time.

Monarchs Fall Into 2-0 Hole - Concord Monitor
Chris Bourque scored his second goal of the game and sixth of the playoffs, giving the defending champion Hershey Bears a 3-2 overtime victory and a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference finals over the Manchester Monarchs last night. Bourque's shot went in as the net came off its moorings behind Monarchs goaltender Jonathan Bernier, but it was determined that the net had been pushed off by Manchester defenders, allowing the goal to stand.

MONARCHS CALDER CUP FUN FACTS
Game Three Scenarios - The Monarchs are 6-5 when it comes to game threes in the Calder Cup Playoffs. Manchester has been down 2-0 in a playoff series four times and were swept in three of those scenarios. In the 2004 Calder Cup Atlantic Division Semifinals, the Monarchs battled back to even the series against the Worcester IceCats 2-2, but eventually fell in the series, 4-2.
Go, Go, Gauthier - Monarchs center Gabe Gauthier extended his scoring streak to six games with two tallies in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Bears. With his steady production, Gauthier has moved up into a tie for second place on the Monarchs roster with nine points (6-3=9) and is tied with left wing Bud Holloway for the team lead in goals with six apiece.
Here Comes Bourque - The son of former Boston Bruins great Ray Bourque is lighting it up for the Hershey Bears. Left wing Chris Bourque scored not only the first goal of the game on Saturday but also the game-winning overtime tally to give the Bears a 2-0 series lead against the Monarchs. Bourque has 15 points (6-9=15) in his last seven games, including four multi-point games in that stretch, to bring his post-season total to 18 points (6-12=18) and tie him for the team lead.
