Seals Name Roxann Bury General Manager

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Seals are proud to announce that Roxann Bury has been promoted to General Manager ahead of the 2010 Golden Baseball League season. The professional sports veteran accepts added duties as head of the club's front office.
Her career spans seven years and four different teams working in both promotions and management. Beginning with the AAA Calgary Cannons in 2000, the Kamloops, BC native spent two seasons working under current Seals part-owner Russ Parker. From there, she went on join the National Lacrosse League's Calgary Roughnecks as Marketing Manager. The 31-year old returned to baseball as a key member of the Calgary Vipers inaugural season staff in 2008.
"Roxann is an invaluable member of our front office team," said club President Darren Parker. "From the off-field presentation to the on-field performance of the Seals, she is a big part of the day-to-day operations of this baseball club."
Joining the Seals for their first campaign in the Golden Baseball League last year, Bury works directly with Parker, overseeing all operational, marketing and player relations for the club during the course of a season.
The 2010 Victoria Seals season kicks off May 21 when the brand new Na Ikaika Koa Maui arrive at Royal Athletic Park.
