Battery Adds Forward Levi Coleman And Midfielder Brandon Massie

April 7, 2010 - USL PRO (USL PRO) Charleston Battery

Charleston, SC. The Charleston Battery has added striker Levi Coleman to its roster as it continues to build towards the start of the USL season. Coleman was spotted by Charleston head coach Mike Anhaeuser at the USL PDL Showcase held at Blackbaud Stadium in February. Coleman was invited into camp and earned a roster spot following strong performances in pre-season including during the Carolina Challenge Cup.

A native of Tulsa, OK, Coleman, 6-2, 187 lbs., 24 yrs., played his final two years of college soccer at the University of Missouri-Kansas City after transferring from Florida International.

Brandon Massie joins the Charleston Battery for his rookie pro-season. A four year starter at Virginia Wesleyan, Massie comes to the Battery via Charleston's invitation player trial held in February.

A native of Chesapeake, Virginia, Massie 5-9, 164 lbs., 22yrs., majored in Criminal Justice.

Single Game Tickets on sale - Home Opener April 24 vs Pittsburgh

Single game tickets are on sale now for the upcoming Charleston Battery season including the team's home opener on Saturday, April 24 versus the Pittsburgh Riverhounds (gates 6:30 p.m. - kick off 7:30 p.m.). Tickets start at just $10 with discounts available for groups. The match on April 24 versus Pittsburgh is sponsored by MUSC and features a post-game fireworks celebration!

Battery concludes pre-season with games versus Clemson and C of C

The Battery takes on Clemson University this afternoon (5PM) in a pre-season match. The Battery concludes its pre-season schedule with an 11 AM match this coming Saturday, April 10 versus the College of Charleston at the Patriots Point Soccer Complex.
