
Former IceGator Named ECHL Goaltender Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Former Louisiana IceGator Jimmy Spratt has been named the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for March 8-14.
The 24 year old posted a record of 4-0-0 with a goals-against average of 2.75 and a save percentage of.923 in four starts to help Las Vegas improve to 30-26-7 and move into second place in the Pacific Division. Spratt recorded at least 30 saves in three of the four games highlighted by a 38-save performance in a 3-2 win at Bakersfield on March 10.
In his first season with the Wranglers, Spratt is 6-1-1 with one shutout, a 2.59 goals-against average and a.928 save percentage in eight starts for the Wranglers. While with the IceGators, Spratt posted a record of 4-6-0 with a goals-against average of 4.17 and a save percentage of.870.
Before turning professional, the Chesterfield, Mich. native played four seasons for Bowling Green State University from 2005-2009 where he went 27-62-5 with three shutouts, a 3.44 goals-against average and a.882 save percentage in 100 games. Spratt also spent three seasons with the Sioux City Musketeers of the United States Hockey League going 49-23-10 with five shutouts, a 2.71 goals-against average and a.911 save percentage in 94 games.
