Chicago Fire To Play University Of Notre Dame In Preseason Friendly

CHICAGO, IL (March 8, 2010) - The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced today that it will play the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at the TOYOTA PARK practice field on Saturday, March 20 at 10:00 AM CT, in its final exhibition match ahead of the 2010 MLS Regular Season.

Section 8, the Independent Supporters Association of the Chicago Fire, will be in attendance to watch the Fire take on the Fighting Irish and will offer fans a final chance to purchase a special season ticket package in "Section 8", section 117 and 118 at TOYOTA PARK.

Fans purchasing season tickets in "Section 8" will see $10 of each purchased season ticket donated to the Chicago Fire Foundation, the charitable arm of the Chicago Fire Soccer Club, dedicated to enriching the quality of life of the Chicagoland community, particularly its youth. In addition, fans will receive an exclusive Chicago Fire Soccer Club t-shirt.

Members from Section 8 Chicago, who strive to "unite all Chicago Fire fans, to create a dominant in-stadium force unseen in any American team sport and to establish a home-field advantage whenever the Chicago Fire play," will be on hand to explain all the benefits of becoming a Fire season ticket holder in "Section 8". Fans are encouraged to come and see the team and become a part of the club in 2010 by becoming a season ticket holder.
