
Chiefs Tickets On Sale March 1

PEORIA, IL---- With the home opener just 52 days away the Peoria Chiefs have announced that 2010 single game tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning Monday March 1 at 10:00 am.
Tickets are available in three methods: At the O'Brien Field Box Office from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm; online at www.peoriachiefs.com ; and through Ticket Return's toll free number at 1-866-MYTICKET from 10:00 am - 8:00 pm. Tickets will remain available nonstop over the internet while the Box Office, which can be reached at 309-680-4008 will be open from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm every weekday until the season ends and over the Ticket Return number from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm all season.
Ticket prices for the 2010 season will be as follows: $10 for all seats in the Seating Bowl, $7 for Lawn seats and all Seating Bowl tickets will be $11 for fireworks nights. Season and group ticket prices are unchanged. The 2010 season will also see a time change on Sunday's with 1:00 pm game times instead of 2:00 pm (except for April 18 and July 4). Due to the post-game Christian Concert by Big Daddy Weave on Saturday night June 26th all game tickets will be $16 Seating Bowl or $12 Lawn seats.
New for 2010, there is no longer a distinction between Club Box and Box Seats in the seating bowl as all seating bowl tickets will be classified as Club Box Seats way. The $1 increase in Lawn seats represents the Chiefs first ticket price increase since the 2004 season when Club Box Seats went from $9 to $10. Monday's will again feature all tickets at half-price while Wednesday's will continue to boast free hot dogs and peanuts. Kids 12 and under eat free (hot dog and soda) on Sunday's. Tuesday's feature three separate ticket offers as all fans 55 and over get $6 seating bowl tickets, fans can bring a KRAFT Singles wrapper to the box office for a buy-one, get-one free offer and fans can also bring a Taco Bell value meal receipt to the box office for a Free ticket with the purchase of one ticket.
"We take pride in being able to provide the best affordable family-fun entertainment in Central Illinois and we continue to do so,"Â said Chiefs President Rocky Vonachen. "With tight budget controls we have been able to absorb cost increases associated with our entertainment acts, giveaways, concerts and promotions over the past six years but we cannot continue to do so. With every seat in the stadium having excellent field views the seating bowl changes allow us and our fans greater seating flexibility."
The Chiefs season begins on Thursday, April 8 with a nine-game road trip and the home opener is scheduled for Saturday, April 17 at 1:00 pm. The day game will be the Chiefs first daytime home-opener in O'Brien Field history and kicks off the 70-game home portion of the 2010 schedule.
The highlights from the action-packed 2010 Promotional Schedule include: 13 fireworks shows, an appearance by Cubs Hall of Famer Fergie Jenkins, monkeys riding dogs while herding sheep (July 15), three post-game concerts, the annual Jimmy Buffett Night and 4 Mile Memorial Day Race, an inaugural tribute to Michael Jackson, appearances by nationally renowned entertainment acts such as ZOOperstars, BirdZerk, Reggy and Myron Noodleman along with a Webkinz giveaway, t-shirt giveaways and many more surprises.
The 13 Fireworks nights for the 2010 season are: Saturday's May 1, May 29, June 12, June 19, June 26, July 17, August 7 and August 28. Friday's June 18, July 9, July 30, August 13 and August 20. The three post-game concerts currently scheduled are Saturday, June 19 with Who's Bad performing on King of Pop Night, Saturday, June 26 with Big Daddy Weave performing on Faith and Family night and Saturday, August 7 with Coco Loco again performing on Jimmy Buffett Night. The ZOOperstars return to O'Brien Field on Friday, June 25 with Myron Noodleman performing on Friday, June 11, BirdZerk on Sunday, July 4 and Reggy on Friday, July 16. School day games will be on Wednesday, April 21 with a DARE Day 10:30 am start and 11:00 am games on Thursday, May 6 and Tuesday, May 11.There will also be three other weekday, day-games with the Memorial Day game starting at Noon on May 31, a 1:00 pm game on Monday, July 5 and an 11:00 am game for Super Splash Day on Monday, July 19. Cubs Hall of Famer Fergie Jenkins will be the Eighth Annual IPMR Legends at the Ballpark guest on Saturday, June 12.

Season ticket packages for the 2010 season are currently on sale. Ticket packages include 70-game package, 35-game package, 17-game Build Your Own package, 12-game Fireworks package, 12-game anytime pass and two separate six-game packages. Group tickets are also on sale for all O'Brien Field party areas and the seating bowl for all 70 home games.
