Waterloo Black Hawks News Release
The Waterloo Black Hawks fired a dozen shots on net in just over eight minutes from the start of a Saturday game against the Youngstown Phantoms, winning the 4-1 decision.
The Hawks scored twice on the power play during the early flurry. Patrick Divjak notched a goal at 4:52. With a five-on-three power play less than four minutes later, Derek Arnold lifted a shot under the cross bar to push Waterloo ahead 2-0. In between, C.J. Motte turned away a penalty shot opportunity from Taylor Holstrom.
In the second period, J.T. Brown scored on a breakaway at 16:25. Jamie Hill added a final Black Hawk tally at 4:24 of the third. Tom Serratore got the Phantoms on the scoreboard, trickling a shot over the line at 11:59 of the final frame. Motte stopped Youngstown's other 28 chances.
With a 3-1-0 mark during their current road trip, the Black Hawks complete the swing in Indiana Monday at 11:05AM.
