Ducks Re-Assign Sexton To Moose

The Anaheim Ducks today announced they have re-assigned forward Dan Sexton to the Manitoba Moose.

Sexton, 22, appeared in five games after being assigned to the Moose for the first time on Nov. 24/09. In that span, the Apple Valley, MN native scored three points (1g & 2a) including earning an assist in his Moose debut Nov. 25/09 @ Rockford and scoring his first goal as a Moose in his third game Nov. 28/09 @ Chicago, as well as earning an assist.

Sexton was recalled by Anaheim on Dec. 4/09 and appeared in 28 games with the Ducks where he scored 18 points (9g & 9a) along with 14 penalty minutes. He is currently 11th in rookie scoring in the NHL and seventh in rookie goal scoring. He collected a pair of powerplay goals and had five multi-point nights with Anaheim.

Sexton has also played in 18 games with the ECHL's Bakersfield Condors this year, where he recorded 26 points (13g & 13a) along with 14 penalty minutes. Sexton was named ECHL Player of the Week honors for accumulating nine points (4g & 5a) in four games in November.
