
Vitek's Trick Propels Ice Bears To Magical Win

Knoxville Ice Bears News Release
The Knoxville Ice Bears snapped the Huntsville Havoc's 4-game win streak in the first of two homes games against the Havoc this weekend. Tim Vitek scored a hat trick to tame the league-leading Havoc 6-4.
Vitek wasn't the only Ice Bear to put up big numbers tonight. Mark Van Vliet had one goal and three assists while Frank Furdero posted one assist, extending his streak to eight points in six games.
Knoxville started off fast with two goals writing the first five minutes of the first period. Tim Vitek scored the first goal of the night with Van Vliet following up just three minutes later. Huntsville scored two in the first to end the period tied at two.
The second period saw lots of action and lots of penalties. Knoxville was able to take the lead with three goals, ending the period 5-3.
Knoxville maintained their lead through the third period to win 6-4 against the Huntsville Havoc. Knoxville will face Huntsville again tomorrow night at 7:30 at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum.
