DENVER - The Denver Outlaws Lacrosse Team announced a partnership with MaxXcel and the team's own Max Seibald today. The partnership focuses on the development and marketing of MaxXcel's FP360 Lacrosse Strength Trainer, a training product unlike anything currently available. Seibald, a first-year Major League Lacrosse player, MLL-All-Star, US National Team member and 2009 Tewaaraton Trophy recipient, has personally come on board to help develop the FP360 as well. MaxXcel and Seibald will introduce the FP360 at the 2010 US Lacrosse National Convention in Baltimore Md. this weekend. The MaxXcel FP360 is a training tool that attaches to the shaft of any lacrosse stick, forcing players to work harder to maintain a grip on the stick during practices, playing wall ball or shooting on goal. This creates continuous resistance and develops the core muscles in the player's hand, wrist and forearm. The outcome is increased strength and minimized risk of arm injuries.
To help lacrosse players utilize the FP360s potential as a training aid, the Denver Outlaws will be offering a free clinic with Seibald after an Outlaws home game this summer. "Some of the biggest advantages you can have on the lacrosse field are strong hands, wrists and forearms," said Outlaws Head Coach and General Manager Brian Reese. "Having those things really help players in areas like stick control, shot speed and accuracy as well as being able to execute quick, hard checks on the defensive end. The FP360 will help players develop these areas that sometimes go neglected in a typical workout or practice."
Lacrosse coaches and players will have a chance to see the FP360 beginning at 1:00 p.m. ET tomorrow at the Baltimore Convention Center. Seibald will be signing autographs at the MaxXcel booth (#512) as well as talking with coaches and players about the product and giving demonstrations on how to use the FP360 for drills and practice. There will also be contests, giveaways and discounted FP360s available throughout the weekend.
"Having strong forearms and a solid grip adds so much to controlling the stick handle - better accuracy, more shot speed, stronger face-offs and ground balls," said Seibald. "Using the MaxXcel FP360 has definitely strengthened my grip, improved my shooting and passing, and helped me develop endurance in my muscles to last the whole game."
