Former Stampede Forwards Micflikier And Prough Named To ECHL All-Star Game

Former Stampede forwards, Jacob Micflikier and Jeff Prough, have been named to the American Conference roster for the 2010 ECHL All-Star Game. The game will take place on January 20th in Ontario, California. Micflikier has been named to the starting lineup.

Micflikier was selected as a member of the Florida Everblades, but is currently playing for and under contract with the Albany River Rats of the AHL. Micflikier has nine points (5g, 4a) in 14 games with the River Rats, the top affiliate of the top affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes.

He posted 32 points (9g, 23a) in just 16 games with the Everblades. The Everblades are the "AA" affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes and the Florida Panthers. Micflikier played in Sioux Falls from 2001 to 2003, posting 56 points in 120 career games.

The starting lineups are determined in voting by American Conference coaches, team captains, media directors, broadcasters and media members. Coaches also submitted the top prospects from within their conference to determine the final roster with each of the 12 teams having a representative.

Prough will represent the Trenton Devils, leading the team in goals with 10. He ranks third on the team overall with 18 points in 23 games. Trenton is the "AA" affiliate of the New Jersey Devils. Prough played in Sioux Falls during the 2003-04 season before playing collegiate hockey at Brown University for four years.
