R-Phils Announce Additions To Front Office Staff

November 30, 2009 - Eastern League (EL) Reading Phillies

(Reading, PA) - The R-Phils are pleased to announce an addition, as well as reorganization to their front office staff. The changes, which will take place effective today, will help to strengthen the efforts of the community relations, sales, marketing, promotions, and education departments.

Jon Muldowney, who spent the 2009 season as Ticket Sales Manager for the Lakewood BlueClaws, has been hired as a Client Relationship Manager. A native of Pottsville, PA, Muldowney spent the 2008 season as a Junior Associate for the R-Phils. The 23-year-old earned his degree in Leisure and Sports Studies from Kutztown University and was also a defensive back for the school's football team.

"Lakewood was a great experience for me," said Muldowney, who will also assist with the management of interns. "I am grateful to everyone at Lakewood, but I am excited to begin my new position in Reading. I look forward to being back home and having an impact on my community."

Matt Hoffmaster, who has served as a Client Relationship Manager/Merchandise Assistant for the R-Phils, will now become the Director of Community Relations for the team. A native of Reading, PA, Hoffmaster will begin his sixth season with the R-Phils in 2010. Hoffmaster is a graduate of Muhlenberg High School and Slippery Rock University, where he received a degree in Sport Management.

Chris McConney, a Drexel Hill, PA native, will continue his role of Director of Fan Development, but will now also oversee website development, in-stadium marketing, and sales inventory in his newly redefined role. A graduate of Upper Darby High School and Penn State University - Delaware County Campus, McConney will begin his sixth season with the R-Phils in 2010.

Todd Hunsicker, a former school teacher who has helped with school days for the past two seasons, has been hired to become the R-Phils Education Coordinator. Hunsicker, a native of Conshohocken, PA, will handle all school related programs, including the "Crazy About Reading" program, Honor Roll Student Recognition Games, and educationally based theme nights such as Science Education Night, Music Education Night, and Art Education Night.
