Coffino To Host Coach's Show At Spectators

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Nov. 23, 2009 - Thunderbirds head coach John Coffino and broadcaster Robert Portnoy will host the first Coach's Show of the 2009-2010 season on Tuesday, October 24, from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Spectators Sports Bar and Grill. This show will air live on 1050 KTBL, with all subsequent shows being aired on 610 The Sports Animal.
Ten shows will be held throughout the course of the season, and fans are encouraged to come out and show their support. The dates are:
Tuesday, November 24 Tuesday, December 1 Thursday, December 17 Monday, January 11 Tuesday, January 26 Monday, February 8 Tuesday, February 16 Monday, March 8 Tuesday, March 23 Tuesday, April 6
Spectators Sports Bar and Grill is located at 5850 Eubank Blvd NE.
The team will host a pre-season game against the Los Angeles D-Fenders on Wednesday, November 25 at Tingley Coliseum. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 pm. Admission is free with a non-perishable food item, or attendees can pay a $4 general admission. The team will be partnering with the Roadrunner Food Bank, with all food and half of the gate receipts going to the organization.
The T-Birds will begin the 2009-10 season against the Bakersfield Jam on Friday, Nov. 27 at 7:00 p.m. The team will then play its exhibition opponent, the Los Angeles D-Fenders, on Nov. 28 at 7:00 pm.
