
Nemisz Scores Game Winner As Team OHL Wins 5-2 In Game Three

(Barrie) Windsor Spitfires forward Greg Nemisz scored the game winner midway through the second period tonight to lead Team OHL to a 5-2 victory in game three of the 2009 SUBWAYR Super Series, hosted in Barrie, ON. Spitfire teammate and forward Adam Henrique assisted on Nemisz's game winning goal, scored at the 12:57 mark of the second period. Spitfire forward Taylor Hall along with defensemen Ryan Ellis and Mark Cundari also played for Team OHL. Jeff Skinner (Kitchener Rangers) scored twice and was named Team OHL's Player of the Game with Taylor Beck (Guelph Storm) and Tyler Toffoli (Ottawa 67's) also scoring for Team OHL in the victory. Canadian teams are now 3-0 against the Russian contingent in the 2009 SUBWAYR Super Series.
Ramis Sadikov made 45 of 50 saves for Team Russia and was named Team Russia's Player of the Game. Maxim Kitsyn and Maxim Markov also scored goals in tonight's contest for the Russians, as they will travel to Windsor for the fourth game of the 2009 SUBWAYR Super Series this upcoming Monday. Game time is set for 7 p.m. with Spitfire forwards Taylor Hall, Greg Nemisz, Adam Henrique and defenseman Ryan Ellis suiting up again for Team OHL.
Prior to the commencement of Monday's game, Subway Restaurants, the Windsor Spitfires and St. Vincent De Paul will be jointly hosting a SUBWAY RSuper Series Canned Food Drive. Fans are encouraged to donate generously to the Can Drive and will receive a ballot for each can donated, for the chance to win a Team Canada jersey autographed by players from the SUBWAYR Super Series in Windsor.
