
Ice Bears Get Much Needed Win Over IceGators

Knoxville Ice Bears News Release
The Knoxville Ice Bears picked up their first win on the road by defeating the Louisiana IceGators 5-2 on Wednesday night. The Ice Bears controlled this game from start to finish and, by doing so, improved their overall record to 4-4. Forward Donald Melnyk regained his scoring touch by firing in the Ice Bears first two goals and also tacked on an assist. Melnyk's stellar performance earned him the First Star of the Game honors. Goalie Dan Earles recorded another win with an impressive 27 save game. This is Earles second win in the three games he has played. Ice Bear Captain , Kevin Swider scored the last goal of the game giving him his team leading, sixth goal on the season. The Ice Bears look to add another win tonight against the Mississippi Surge. The game against the Surge begins at 8:30 PM Eastern Standard Time. Tune in and watch the Ice Bears live game action.
