Dust Devils Announce 2010 Schedule

November 17, 2009 - Northwest League (NWL) Tri-City Dust Devils

The defending Northwest League Eastern Division Champion Tri-City Dust Devils have released their 2010 schedule. Tri-City will open its season at Spokane on June 18th before returning for the home opener Monday, June 21st vs. Eugene. The Dust Devils will wrap up their 38-game home schedule September 5th vs. Spokane.

Tri-City will be following up a 2009 season that was successful on and off the field. The Dust Devils won their second division championship in three years before falling short in the Northwest League Championship Series to the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. The team's 47 wins set a Colorado Rockies short season affiliate record and was ten better than second place Spokane. Manager Freddie Ocasio was named the league's Manager of the Year.

At the box office, the Dust Devils set a new attendance record for the third consecutive season with 84,198 fans at Gesa Stadium. This was a 3% increase over the record set in 2008, and a 65% increase since 2004. There were a record nine games with over 3,000 fans in attendance.

"We are excited about our 2010 schedule and look forward to setting an attendance record for the fourth straight year," says Vice President/General Manager Derrel Ebert.

Lower box seats were sold out for 21 of the team's 38 home games in 2009, which makes it more important than ever for fans to purchase a ticket package to secure a reserved seat for the most popular nights. Prices are unchanged from 2009 and represent the most affordable family entertainment in the Tri-Cities.

Ticket plans start at just $49, with full-season tickets available for as low as $259. Special ticket rates are available for groups of 20 or more. Season tickets, mini-plans, and group tickets can be purchased by contacting the Dust Devils front office at (509) 544-8789 or at the Gesa Stadium box office.
