ST. PAUL, MN (November 10, 2009) - The St. Paul Saints along with the three other Goldklang Group Teams, Charleston RiverDogs, Fort Myers Miracle and Hudson Valley Renegades today announced the launch of "Be Your Own Fan Television," a bi-monthly web series designed to showcase all aspects of sports business.With social media exploding, the Saints are incorporating various forms communication designed to engage fans through these unique web-based TV interviews. In the first installment, which can be found at saintsbaseball.com and www.byoftv.com, the General Managers of the four Goldklang Group teams discuss the importance of the fan and what working in baseball has meant to them. Fans are encouraged to send in questions about each of the shows and questions will be answered during the next segment. Viewers may also tweet responses and comment while watching the show through blip.tv. Videos can also be seen through youtube, vimeo, aol video and are available as an itunes video podcast.
The second episode will feature the Chairman of the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bulls, Jerry Reinsdorf.
The series is named after the Groups' new marketing campaign, and will adopt the same concepts inherent in that philosophy while encouraging their fans to participate in the interviews through submission of questions in advance. BYOFTV is the first of its kind by a consolidated ownership group in the industry, with a mission to provide educational content in an entertaining format. In addition to interviews and roundtable discussions, the show will also provide fans the opportunity to glimpse behind the scenes and experience the business of professional baseball.
