
Senators Announce Full 2010 Schedule

HARRISBURG, PA - The Harrisburg Senators have released their entire 2010 schedule. The Sens begin the season on the road at Altoona (Pirates) on April 8 and end the season on the road at Binghamton (NY Mets) on September 6. As previously announced, the Sens open their historic 2010 home schedule on Thursday, April 15th against New Britain (Twins) giving fans their first opportunity to see all of the renovations to Metro Bank Park.
The Sens play 71 road games in 2010 with 33 against the Southern Division and 38 against the Northern Division. Harrisburg plays in Altoona (Pirates) ten times in 2010. The Sens play Reading (Phillies), New Britain (Twins), Trenton (Yankees), Binghamton (Mets), New Hampshire (Blue Jays) and Portland (Red Sox) all seven times on the road next year. They make just one visit to the newest team in the league, Richmond.
The 2010 home opener and grand reopening of Metro Bank Park is Thursday, April 15 at 7:00pm against the New Britain Rock Cats (Twins). The Senators open their 2010 home schedule with a seven-game homestand. The Sens play four games against New Britain and three against the Reading Phillies (Phillies). New Britain and Reading were both 2009 Eastern League playoff participants.
The Senators home schedule includes the 2010 Eastern League All-Star game, which is taking place on Wednesday, July 14 at a time to be determined. There will be more information available in the coming weeks regarding the All-Star game and all the planned All-Star game activities.
Metro Bank Park is currently undergoing renovations as part of phase II of a two-phase project announced last December by the City of Harrisburg and the Harrisburg Senators. To see pictures of the progress, please log on to www.senatorsbaseball.com.
