Knoxville Ice Bears News Release
Knoxville's Mike Bulawka scores a hat trick to help stomp the Fayetteville FireAntz 7-2 before heading on a two-game road trip to Columbus.
Ice Bears Randy Johnston and Mile Bulawka net their first goals of the season just two minutes into the first period. The FireAntz manage to squeak one by Goalie Andrew Gallant half way through the first, ending the period 2-1.
Second period erupted with eight minor penalties (four per team), resulting in two power play goals for the Ice Bears- T . Hanson, his first of the season, and Bulawka's second of the game. After lots of action on both ends of the ice, the Ice Bears end the second 4-1 over the FireAntz.
The Ice Bears continue to pounce on the FireAntz in the third by scoring three goals, including Bulwawka's third of the night. Fayetteville tries to rally with a goal with seven minutes left, but the Ice Bears outshot the FireAntz 36-26, ending the game with their second win of the season.
