Help Sparkee The Mascot's Walk Team To Fight Diabetes

Bridgewater, NJ- The Five-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots will be the host of the American Diabetes Association's Step Out Walk at TD Bank Ballpark on Sunday, October 25th.

Sparkee, the Somerset Patriots Mascot, is a Walk Team Captain and is inviting Patriots fans to join his team to help a great cause.

The Walk will begin at 10:00 am with registration on-site beginning at 9:00 am. The Walk is a fall and Halloween themed event.

After the walk, participants can take part in the American Diabetes Association's community forum! From food and games to the Kids Zone and music, the Step Out Walk offers something for the whole family!

All funds raised at the Step Out events will go to support the Association's mission -- to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

The Step Out-Walk to Fight Diabetes event routes average approximately one mile and are accessible to people of all ages and levels of mobility. The event draws a large contingency of individuals and teams, comprised of families, friends, and corporations, all raising money in support of the ADA. This year, 2800 walkers are expected to attend the four walks in New Jersey. Locations include Franklin Lakes, Morristown, Princeton and Bridgewater and take place the first four Sundays in October.
