SAINT JOHN, NB --- Saint John Sea Dogs Game Day Coordinator Josh Ferguson announced today that former Canadian Idol contestant and Universal/Maple Music recording artist Carly Rae Jepsen will be performing the national anthem at Sunday afternoon's home game versus the P.E.I. Rocket (puck drop: 4pm).

Currently on tour with Platinum-selling rock band Marianas Trench, Ms. Jepsen was a contestant on the fifth season of Canadian Idol, finishing third. The Mission, BC native has gone on to release one album and several successful singles such as 'Tug of War'.

Sunday's Sea Dogs game has been designated the third Family Fun Day of the season, with special discounted ticket packages available and a kids' fun zone set to be set up on the main concourse at Harbour Station. A post-game autograph session featuring four Sea Dogs players will also be staged.

Saint John is also in action tomorrow night when the Moncton Wildcats skate into town for a 7pm showdown at the station. This game has been designated Pink in the Rink Night, with the Sea Dogs set to don special pink uniforms in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Fans will be able to bid on the one-of-a-kind jerseys via silent auction at Sea Dogs Central (Section S, arena concourse), with all proceeds going towards breast cancer research. Winning bidders will also be able to have their jerseys personally autographed. The second game of the 2009-10 Brunswick News Rivalry Cup Challenge will also be staged on Saturday, with Sea Dogs mascot Fleaburn set to square off with his counterpart from Moncton, Wild Willle, in a first intermission race.

Tickets to both of this weekend's games are available by calling the Harbour Station Box Office at (506) 657-1234.
