The Volcanoes 2009 season certainly was exciting...
From the Opening Night 5-4 victory, over the Eugene Emeralds, to The Volcanoes 13 inning 2-1 thriller to beat the Tri City Dust Devils for the Northwest League Championship, the team provided enormous excitement for the fans.
The Volcanoes posted the best regular season record in the Northwest League in 2009 and won their 4th Consecutive Northwest League Western Division Championship, and 7th overall Division Title. The team also captured their 5th Northwest League Championship, their 3rd Championship in the past 4 seasons (2006, 2007, 2009).
"The Streak". Listen to this amazing Volcanoes' first-place 'streak'. The last time the Volcanoes were out of first place was September 7, 2005. Over 4 years ago ! Not even for one single day have the Volcanoes been out of first place, being in first place all of the 2006 season, 2007 season, 2008 season and 2009 season !!!! What an amazing feat.
