Angels recall Rafael Rodriguez

SALT LAKE CITY (August 22, 2009) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that the club has recalled right-handed pitcher Rafael Rodriguez from Triple-A Salt Lake.

Rodriguez, 24, has appeared in 19 games for the Bees in 2009, registering a 1.80 ERA with three saves and 19 strikeouts. In 12 games for the Angels this season, he owns a 6.97 ERA with nine strikeouts. The Dominican Republic native signed with the Angels as a free agent on July 20, 2001.

The Salt Lake Bees begin a four-game homestand tonight against the Las Vegas 51s at 7:05 p.m. with fireworks following the game.
