
Flying Tigers Pitcher Charlie Furbush Named FSL Pitcher of the Week

Lakeland, FL - Lakeland Flying Tigers Pitcher Charlie Furbush was named Pitcher of the Week by the Florida State League (FSL) today. The selection was for the period of July 27 - August 2.
During the week Furbush started one game, recorded the win and did not allow a run. In six innings pitched he allowed only one hit, no walks and struck out 10 batters.
This is Furbush's second full professional season. He was selected by the Tigers in the fourth round of the June 2007 draft. He pitched in 12 games in 2007 between the GCL Tigers and West Michigan Whitecaps after playing college ball at Louisiana State University. He was sidelined the entire 2008 season with a left elbow sprain.
