ST. LOUIS (July 31, 2009) - St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today the club has signed defenseman Brendan Bell.
Bell, 26, played in 53 games with the Ottawa Senators last season, recording 21 points (six goals, 15 assists) along 24 penalty minutes. He also played in 15 games with Ottawa's American Hockey League affiliate Binghamton Senators. The 6-2, 211-pound defenseman has played in 101 NHL games, amassing 28 points (seven goals, 21 assists) and 24 penalty minutes.
The Ottawa, Ontario native was originally drafted by Toronto in the third round, 65th overall in the 2001 Entry Draft.
