Diamond Jaxx Roster Moves

JACKSON, TENN. (JUNE 18, 2009) - The Seattle Mariners have announced the following roster moves effecting the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx.

OF Ezequiel Carrera has been activated from the Disabled list and active for tonight's game with Montgomery. Carrera has been on the DL since May 24th. Carrera, when placed on the DL was in the Southern League's top ten in runs scored, on base percentage, batting average, stolen bases and hits.

C Colt Morton has been activated off of the Temporarily Inactive List. Morton was acquired via a trade from San Diego last week and has not played in a game with the Jaxx.

INF Erick Monzon for the second time this season has been promoted to Triple-A Tacoma. Monzon played in nine games earlier this season with Tacoma. Monzon joins the team in response to INF Chris Woodward being called up to Seattle. Seattle put INF Jose Lopez on the Bereavement List (Family Emergency) before tonight's game at San Diego.
