Tulsa Oilers News Release

Garry Unger who coached the Tulsa Oilers to the 1993 Central Hockey League championship, and scored more than 400 goals in his National Hockey League career, will watch the Detroit Red Wings and Pittsburgh Penguins try to reach their goal of a Stanley Cup championship on Friday. Unger will be on hand for the Oilers watch party in the Scoreboard Lounge at the River Spirit Casino at 81st and Riverside. The seventh and deciding game of the Stanley Cup starts at 7 p.m. "What a great way to wind up a great series with an NHL superstar on hand," Oilers general manager Taylor Hall said. "And Garry is really looking forward to watching the game with a lot of fans. It really is going to be a special night on Friday, and having Garry Unger there will just add to the fun." Fans who attend the watch party will have the chance to win prizes when goals are scored, by guessing the score, and by answering trivia questions. And at the end of the night, fans will see one team parade the oldest trophy competed for by professional athletes in North America around the ice.
