Palm Beach Cardinals News Release
The Cardinals had a hard time closing this one out. Palm Beach lost the game in late innings, 4-1. The relief pitchers had problems that led to four runs in the eighth inning and two more in the ninth.
Starting pitcher Scott Gorgen was outstanding, allowing two hits and nine strikeouts in a little over seven innings. Gorgen left the game with the lead 1-0 with two runners on. The Birds lost control of the game after that. It led to two earned runs for Gorgen and the loss.
Tomorrow the Palm Beach continue the series with Lakeland at 7:05 PM. Remember tomorrow is the Knothole Gang Kids Club. For $17 membership fee, all members (12 years and under) receive a FREE ticket, hot dog, soda, and other special membership benefits at all Tuesday night home games.
