Spring = Griffins Playoff Hockey + Flowers

In celebration of the Griffins' North Division Finals playoff series against the Manitoba Moose, Griff and dozens of red-shirted Griffins staffers will hit the downtown streets at lunchtime on Friday to give out a red rose to each person they encounter.

The 500 roses from Sunnyslope Floral will each be attached to a card (see below) promoting Games 3-5 between the Griffins and Moose at Van Andel Arena on Monday, May 4, Wednesday, May 6 and (if necessary) Friday, May 8.

Each card also contains a simple poem:

Roses are red, the Griffins are hot

Support your home team, the Van is the spot!

WHEN: Friday, May 1 from noon to 1 p.m.

WHERE: Downtown streets and landmarks, including:

- Van Andel Arena plaza

- Rosa Parks Circle - Griff will pass out roses at noon

- Calder Plaza
