Wizards Players Take Part in Pre-Game Ceremonies Prior to Royals Game Versus Toronto Blue Jays at 7:10 p.m.

(April 29, 2009) - Kansas City Wizards midfielder Davy Arnaud will throw out the first pitch at tonight's Kansas City Royals game against the Toronto Blue Jays. Goalkeeper Kevin Hartman will serve as the catcher for Arnaud's toss, and several Wizards teammates will be at the game as pitcher Zack Greinke looks to continue his strong early-season run.

Arnaud and Hartman have been two of Kansas City's most productive players early in the season. Arnaud leads the team with three goals and one assist, while Hartman recently broke Major League Soccer's career saves record. In the month of April, Hartman helped the Wizards to a 3-1-1 record, while allowing only three goals. He made several spectacular saves during the month and is a front-runner for the MLS Player of the Month award.

The Wizards are off until next Wednesday, May 6 when D.C. United visits for a 7:30 p.m. CT kickoff at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. Tickets for that match are available through this link, by calling the Wizards at (913) 387-3400 or visiting kcwizards.com or Ticketmaster.com.
