Grand Rapids Leads Best-of-Seven Series, 2-1
Game 4 TONIGHT 7 p.m. Van Andel Arena
- The Griffins tonight take a 2-1 series lead into Game 4 of the North Division Semifinals at Van Andel Arena. The Bulldogs grabbed a 5-4 win in Grand Rapids on Monday, the third straight win for the road team in this series.
- The Griffins won four of the five previous best-of-seven series in which they held a 2-1 lead.
- Justin Abdelkader's six postseason points (4-2-6) have all come during the third period. He is tied with Ville Leino (2-4-6) and Darren Haydar (1-5-6) for the Griffins' playoff scoring lead. The trio has combined for seven goals, 18 points and a plus-nine rating, while Grand Rapids' other 15 skaters have combined for four goals, 12 points and a minus-nine rating.
- The first 1,500 fans tonight will receive a poster celebrating the Griffins' first 100 NHL alumni, courtesy of Grand Valley State University.
- Game 5 will also take place at Van Andel Arena this Friday, April 24.
