Reid Cashman Recalled From Wheeling

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have recalled defenseman Reid Cashman from the Wheeling Nailers, it was announced on Wednesday.

Cashman, 26, appeared in 18 games with the Penguins this season, recording six points (2+4) and 12 penalty minutes.

The native of Red Wing, MN, also appeared in 33 regular season games with Wheeling, recording 29 points (7+22) and 46 penalty minutes. He finished tied for second on the team with six points (2+4) in seven playoff games as well. Wheeling fell in the first round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs to the defender champion Cincinnati Cyclones.

The Penguins take on the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in Game Four of the East Division Semifinals tonight at the Arena at Harbor Yard at 7:00pm. Game Five will be played on Friday night at 7:05pm in Wilkes-Barre, with Game Six (if necessary) taking place the following night at the Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza.
