Frost Heaves thaw out the Kebs

Quebec City, PQ - John Williams hit for a game high 25 with Benson Callier adding 20 as Vermont tunes up for the PBL playoffs with an easy 120-77 victory over Quebec.

The Frost Heaves, who will play Wilmington in the play-in game, had a seven point lead after a quarter, but then outscored the Kebs by 20 in the second and the rout was on. At one point in the fourth quarter, the Frost Heaves lead was 50 before Quebec was able to rally a bit and close the final gap to 43.

Vermont got a double double from John Smith who had eleven points and a game high 15 rebounds. Vermont shot 52.9 percent from the field while holding the Kebs to just 33 percent shooting.

Quebec was led by Jonas Pierre with 17 and PJ Young with a dozen points. Quebec finishes the season with a record of 4-14 which is good four fourth in the five team Atlantic Division.
