Montreal Assigns Marc Denis To Hamilton

March 5, 2009 - American Hockey League (AHL) - Hamilton Bulldogs News Release


MONTREAL, QC - Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today that goaltender Marc Denis has been assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League from Montreal.

Denis, 31, has a record of 21-14-0 in 36 games with the Bulldogs this season along with a 2.57 goals-against average, a .917 save percentage and five shutouts. The 6-foot, 190-pound goaltender played 20 minutes with Montreal on January 2nd, 2009 making six saves on seven shots. The native of Montreal, Quebec was the Colorado Avalanche's 1st round, 25th overall selection in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft.

The Hamilton Bulldogs return to Copps Coliseum on Friday, March 6th when they host their archrivals the Toronto Marlies for a 7:30 p.m. game.
