Senators Recall Center Peter Regin

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Ottawa Senators recalled today center Peter Regin from the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League.
Regin made his National Hockey League debut in Ottawa's 3-2 victory over the Washington Capitals on Tuesday, Jan. 20, recording no points in 10:08 of playing time. He was re-assigned to Binghamton on Jan. 21
Regin is only the fifth player born in Denmark to play in an NHL game. The others are Poul Popiel (Boston Bruins, 1965-66), Frans Nielsen (New York Islanders, 2006-07), Jannik Hansen (Vancouver Canucks, 2007-08) and Mikkel Boedker (Phoenix Coyotes, 2008-09).
During this, his first season with the B-Sens, Regin has scored eight goals and added 13 assists while recording 24 penalty minutes in 32 games. The 22-year-old, who has five multi-point games, missed 12 games due to injury.
Regin was Ottawa's second third-round pick, 87th overall, in the 2004 NHL entry draft.
