INTERLIGA PACK ON SALE FOR THIS WEEK'S GAMES: Chivas USA is offering a special 2009 InterLiga Pack, giving fans three games for the price of two starting at just $25, between seeing four Mexican First Division clubs in a doubleheader, as well as Chivas USA's Opening Day for the 2009 MLS season. The first InterLiga doubleheader at The Home Depot Center kicks off on Thursday, Jan. 8, with Morelia vs. Pachuca at 6:00 p.m. PT, followed by Toluca vs. Tecos UAG at 8:30 p.m. The action continues the next night, on Friday, Jan. 9, with Club América vs. Atlas at 6:30 p.m., and Chivas de Guadalajara vs. Tigres UANL at 9:00 p.m. The tournament closes on Sunday, Jan. 11 with the two finals being played at 4:00 p.m. and the second at 6:30 p.m. The two winners will qualify for the prestigious Copa Libertadores 2009. The InterLiga Pack costs just $25 for the Endline seats, and $60 for seats on the Sidelines (please note: Endline seats for Friday night's doubleheader are sold out). In addition to any of the three InterLiga doubleheaders at The Home Depot Center, the Pack also includes a ticket to Chivas USA's 2009 Opening Game, which takes place on Saturday, March 21, at 7:30 p.m. PT against the Colorado Rapids. JONATHAN BORNSTEIN, SACHA KLJESTAN IN U.S. NATIONAL TEAM TRAINING CAMP AT THE HOME DEPOT CENTER: Chivas USA players Jonathan Bornstein and Sacha Kljestan are currently training with the United States National Team at The Home Depot Center in Carson as part of head coach Bob Bradley's 25-player squad. The group began training on Monday as the team prepares for a friendly match on Jan. 24 against Sweden, also at The Home Depot Center. The annual January camp will prepare for the match against Sweden as well as the start of the final round of CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying, which begins for the U.S. on Feb. 11 against Mexico in Columbus. In 2008, Sacha Kljestan had the most appearances of any player on this roster, featuring in eight matches for the U.S. that included six World Cup qualifiers. The Huntington Beach native tallied two assists for the full team and scored two goals at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, his efforts earning him the 2008 U.S. Soccer Young Male Athlete of the Year award. Bornstein was also with the United States for its most recent World Cup Qualifier, a 2-0 win over Guatemala on Nov. 19, and has a total of 13 appearances with the United States.
