Mississauga Announces Trade With London

Mississauga, ON - The Mississauga St. Michael's Majors have acquired forward Kale Kerbashian in a trade with the London Knights hockey club, in exchange for Zac Rinaldo.

Rinaldo, a 5'11", 180 lb. forward registered 6 goals and 7 assists for 13 points in 34 games played with the Majors so far this season, and racked up 112 penalty minutes. The 18 year-old native of Hamilton, ON was the Majors 14th Round pick of the 2006 OHL draft, (270th overall), and played Tier 2 hockey in his hometown prior to joining the Majors in 2006. Rinaldo collected 7 goals and 14 points in his first full year with the Majors in 2007-08. He was the 6th Round pick (178th overall) of the Philadelphia Flyers at the NHL Entry Draft this past summer.

Kerbashian joins the Mississauga squad with 10 goals and 19 assists for 29 points under his belt so far this season, and registered 36 penalty minutes. The 18 year-old also got two assists in 5 playoff games in 2008. The 5'11", 173 lb. native of Thunday Bay, ON spent the past three seasons with the Knights, and was London's 4th Round pick at the 2006 OHL draft.

Mississauga goes on the road this Friday night when they visit the Wolves at 7:30 p.m., and the Ottawa 67's on the following afternoon at 2 p.m. Then, they visit the London Knights on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. All Majors road games are available via webcast at www.stmichaelsmajors.com.
