
2009 New York-Penn League All-Star Game Tickets On Sale Saturday

(STATE COLLEGE, PA) - The State College Spikes announced today that individual tickets for the 2009 New York-Penn League All-Star Game will go on sale at 10 a.m. this Saturday, December 6th. The 2009 NYPL All-Star Game is set for Tuesday, August 18th, at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. The sale of individual NYPL All-Star Game tickets coincides with the Spikes' Winter Wonderland, which will be held from 11a.m. to 1p.m. at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
Fans will be able to purchase 2009 NYPL All-Star Game tickets starting at 10 a.m. Saturday the following ways:
- In person by visiting Medlar Field at Lubrano Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
- Over the phone by calling toll-free 877-99-SPIKES during Box Office hours listed above.
- Online by visiting www.statecollegespikes.com and clicking on the "BUY ALL-STAR GAME TICKETS NOW" icon.

In addition to the first day of ticket sales for the 2009 NYPL All-Star Game, Medlar Field at Lubrano Park will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland this Saturday from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. with Santa making a special stop at the ballpark and a toy drive for the Salvation Army. In addition, Spikes fans can get their first look at open 2009 Season Ticket locations and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park with games and activities for everyone.
Admission to Spikes Winter Wonderland is free with the donation of at least one toy to the Centre County Salvation Army toy drive. All the toys collected by the Salvation Army will benefit less fortunate children in the Centre County community during this holiday season. This year, the Centre County Salvation Army is in special need of gifts for teenagers.
Spikes fans will also have the chance to reserve and select seats for their 2009 season tickets, which include tickets to the 2009 New York-Penn League All-Star Game. The entire Spikes ticketing staff will be on-hand to answer questions and distribute information on all Spikes ticket packages, including season tickets, luxury suite rentals, mini-plans, flex books, group outings, picnics, birthday parties, kids club and many other Spikes ticket offers.
Throughout the event, Spikes fans will have the opportunity to go on guided tours of Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, getting an up close view of every aspect of the ballpark. In addition, fans will have the opportunity to participate in a Spikes scavenger hunt with clues scattered throughout the ballpark. Fans of all ages can show off their baseball skills in the Spikes' batting cages and speed pitch. Kids will have the opportunity to participate in arts and crafts, as well as saying hello to Ike the Spike and the Nookie Monster. Fans can stock up on holiday merchandise at Off the Rack Outfitters, which will be open throughout the entire event. Free coffee and hot chocolate will be provided, as well as cookies and donuts.
