Club Deportivo Chivas USA News Release
CARSON, Calif. (Thursday, October 16, 2008) - Chivas USA of Major League Soccer today announced it will hold its second-leg playoff match, vs. Opponent TBD, on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. PT at The Home Depot Center. Tickets for the Red-and-White's third consecutive appearance in MLS postseason play, starting at just $14, are now on sale by calling 1-877-CHIVAS-1. The first 10,000 fans in attendance on Nov. 8 will receive a free, limited-edition Chivas USA 2008 playoffs t-shirt. The match will be Bonus Game 'C' for media parking passes and Chivas USA Season Ticket Holders, who will have an opportunity to purchase additional tickets at their special discounted rate.
"We would like to congratulate Preki and the entire team for leading Chivas USA to the playoffs for the third year in a row. In the face of injury and international call-ups, our coaching staff and players have shown tremendous resilience and determination during the course of this season," said Chivas USA President and CEO Shawn Hunter. "Our ultimate goal is now to make history by playing for an MLS Cup in front of our fans on November 23 at The Home Depot Center."
By virtue of its 1-0 win over the San Jose Earthquakes last Saturday, Chivas USA, with a record of 12-10-6 (W-L-T), clinched at minimum a second-place finish in Major League Soccer's Western Conference, while still remaining alive in the hunt for first place behind the reigning champion Houston Dynamo. With just two games remaining in the MLS regular season - and no teams eliminated to date - Chivas USA could face any of the West's teams or even a wild card from the East in its opening-round Western Conference Semifinal Series.
For a limited time, fans can buy the special Chivas USA Playoff Two-Pack, which staring at just $24 gets fans into Chivas USA's Nov. 8 playoff game and the Red-and-White's regular-season closer on Oct. 25 vs. the Houston Dynamo, which is also Fan Appreciation Night. Single-game prices for Chivas USA 2008 Playoff Tickets are as follows:
Chivas USA 2008 Playoff Ticket Prices:
GA | General $14
End Zone | Zona $18
Side Lines | Bandas $32

Chivas USA closes the MLS regular season with two consecutive home matches at The Home Depot Center, first facing the Colorado Rapids this Sunday, Oct. 19, at 12:00 noon PT, when kids get in free with the Chivas USA Kids Pack and the first 7,500 fans through the gates receive a limited-edition Chivas USA hat. The team then closes the season on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m. PT against the Houston Dynamo on Fan Appreciation Night, which features raffles, giveaways, and prizes for fans, including an official-sized Chivas USA soccer ball sponsored by Frazee Paint for the first 7,500 fans in attendance.
